Growing up in Indonesia & Holland, I have always been fascinated and interested by Art and many other Artistic expressions. I have painted & sketched since I was very young.

My mother was a Dutch / Indonesian Artist, and I have learned a great deal from her flair for creating art & her zeal for living life.

As a teenager I have also built many model airplanes and many ship models, mostly out of wood.

After coming to the USA in the late fifties, I became a foreign car mechanic for over 25 years in the San Francisco Bay area & in Soulsbyville, in the Sierra mountains of California.

So most of my life I have been an Artist, painting on canvas and creating freeform art in wood & metal and in many other media. KineticArt.com.diemel

Today, I do not like to only paint or create in just one style or genre, or even to just stay with one certain media. I would like to venture more into many different directions in my pursuit of creating Art.

I love to paint realism, but have this past year dabbled in many forms of Abstract art & digital art, created on a computer.

I also still love to take photographs and render those into more of a pop-art, with the help of Photoshop and other amazingly creative Art software.

Currently I live in Bend Oregon with my wife Ellen.

We enjoy the Central Oregon high desert lifestyle and the changing seasons in this beautiful Cascade mountain community.

Now that I am semi-retired from my carpentry profession, I really desire to spend more of my days creating many kinds of Art, sculpture, kinetic art, etc. and also painting this beautiful world that God created around me.
